Restructure/Extend Tillman - no downside. Never played better, is a leader and it would free up Cap Space
    Same with Cutler.

Do it, save Cap while keeping talents like him.

Move hime to Safety only when he can no longer play corner like he has.

Safeties are easier to find than a shut-down Corner.

    Extend him - Yes!
    Move to Safety- No Way!

Sir Charles is one of my favorite players on the entire squad and IS my favorite on Defense, which is saying a lot, because I have traditionally been biased toward DL and LB. The guy just gets it done, and there have been many "burns" in the past that he has been blamed for that should have gone on the Safety. He only has two PB appearances, but in my opinion, he should have received at least 2 or 3 more over his career. Even if there was no cap savings, I would be in favor of an extension. The cap savings is just gravy. I know age is an issue, but he obviously keeps himself in great condition, and he is the consummate professional and team player, and I think we will need his veteran leadership to help pull the rest of the team to buy into Trestman's direction.

Yep I agree. He's a good football player period. He's one of the smartest DBs in the league on par with guys like Bailey and Woodson, he's a turnover machine and on top of that he's a very high character guy with leadership skills and you never hear a negative word come out of him. How could you NOT want the guy around.

He's another who needs to retire as a Bear.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I read that Peanut is about eight forced fumbles from the all time record.
