Suh accused of sideswiping a car, leaving scene of accident
Posted by Mike Florio on October 11, 2012, 7:56 PM EDT
On the same day Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was featured on this page in response to allegations that he’s not showing enough fight on the field, he’s showing too much fight off it.
Allegedly.
According to FOX 2 in Detroit, Steve Vines claims that Suh sideswiped Vines’ car, left the scene of the accident, and then yelled at Vines at a stoplight.
Vines says he called Dearborn, Michigan police, who told him to go to the team’s practice facility and wait for them to arrive. So that’s what Vines did.
“That’s when [Suh] said, ‘I advise you to leave, now,’” Vines said. “And I said, ‘I’m not going anywhere. I talked to the police.’ [He said], ‘I don’t care what they said. You need to get out of here.’ And then he said, ‘I’m advising you to leave, now.’”
Police reportedly are investigating.
It’s the second time in less than a year that Suh has been involved in a traffic incident. He’s currently facing a lawsuit for injuries allegedly suffered by a passenger when Suh wrecked a car in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, during a two-game suspension for stomping on Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith.

I like how this POS keeps making it more and more impossible for Lions fans to defend him. He's a turd on and off the field and he's shown it every season he's been in the NFL.

I think that most teams have a player like that. A guy that makes the fan protect or defend him when he continuously does goofy things on or off the field. I am a diehard Laker fan. For alot of years, I felt like I had to protect/defend Kobe Bryant when he was doing stupid things on or off the court. At the end of the day, all of us are probably a little TOO invested in these athlete's off time. It's just the day and age we live in now. Heck, this board is still reverberating from Smokin' Jay's leadership skills debate.
I learned long ago with Kobe... Let the haters hate. So, for Lions fans I would hope that they don't even bother defending Suh for his stupidity off of the field. Same goes with Smokin' Jay's non existent leadership skills. As long as the Bears are winning, it doesn't matter. And as long as Suh is getting QBs on the ground, it doesn't really matter. When Suh is no longer getting to QBs and the Bears aren't winning is when their fans should get vocal about their respective players.

So what you are saying is that it's ok to jump on Suh for his actions this time around?

Because Suh is tied for 38th in the NFL with 2.5 sacks? You can jump on Suh if you want to but I will let you know that Julius Peppers is also tied for 38th with 2.5 sacks.
Realistically, Suh and Peppers create problems for their opponents just by being there. They demand so much attention that their teammates get the benefit. Plus, Suh is a DT while Peppers is a DE. I would think it would be quite hypocritical for a Bear fan to jump on Suh for only having 2.5 sacks at the T position while Peppers has the same number from the end. Typically, ends get to the QB more frequently then tackles do, yes?

You missed the point. It was a joke, not an indictment.

Me: No... Fuck you.
Him: Bam!
Me: Yea, I'll be taking a couple years from your contract. And oh, by the way, since I'm exactly where the police told me to be... and it's the TEAMS practice facility.... you can let the Lions know I'll be taking some of theirs as well.

Well it's confirmed. In addition to be a complete asshole ON the football field he's now learned how to parlay that same talent into being a complete asshole OFF the field as well.
In addition to that he can't drive worth a shit. Allstate is trying to hire him to be their next "mayhem" guy. He's a natural.
