Can't imagine what it cost to ship those puppies..as looked into that for mine and why got the u-haul and braved the Chicago city streets with it
Awesome. I like the way you got your seats much better than the way I got mine. I'd love to see some pics of your seats if you'd care to post some.

How much do those seats go for? Seats to old Yankee Stadium were going for $700-$800 a pop. I wonder if old Soldier Field's seats were going for about that?

I only paid around $250 per pair, plus shipping. There are still quite a few of them floating around so the price has actually dropped since they were originally offered in 2002 when they were going for around $250 each.

originally $200.00 a pair when went on sale( that's when I got).. then hiked to $250-$500 on the resale market:

    http://chi.scout.com/2/30068.html

The Young Professional Organization (YPO) of the Parkways Foundation announced a fundraising project that benefits neighborhood parks by offering a piece of Chicago football history. The Parkways YPO, along with the Chicago Bears, will sell the stadium seats for $200 a pair. Seats are limited.

The Lakefront Redevelopment Project calls for the re-adaptive use of Soldier Field. To make room for the new seats, pre-sold old seats will be removed and available for pick-up after the last game, actual date will depend on the length of the season
    .

All net proceeds raised in this effort will be donated to the Park District by the Parkways YPO to improve, develop, and maintain their neighborhood park programs and facilities. The Parkways Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Chicago Park District and the YPO is an n auxiliary board of the Parkways Foundation comprised of professionals dedicated to improving neighborhood parks.

At the end of the Bears’ 2001 Season, pre-sold floor-mounted seats in the stadium will be removed and made available. Seats may be purchased at www.BearsChairs.com or by calling (312) 742-4816 to purchase by phone.

Along with Bears Chairs benefiting neighborhood parks, Parkways YPO will partner with the Chicago Bears to auction nearly 175 unique Bear items on February 23 during the Chicago Bears Fan Appreciation Convention at the Chicago Hilton and Towers.
Fans can expect to big on one-of-a-kind Bear items: lockers used by Walter Payton, Mike Singletary, Dick Butkus and Mike Ditka, Payton Retirement and #34 flags, the Super Bowl Banner, the 1985 World Champions Flag, the Sky Boxes Neon Sign, Soldier Field Turnstiles, Bears Locker room Doors and Players’ Benches. Auction participants can submit bids at www.susanins.com until auction day on February 23. Photographs of the times are also available on the website. Also, on the February 23rd auction, the Bears will offer other special items, such as 12 pairs of autographed seats.

    How much do seat cost?
$200 per pair, sold as-is. All sales are final. Seats that are paid for, but not picked up by January 13 will be considered part of the rehabilitation of the stadium and no refunds will be provided. Can I buy single seats?
No, seats will only be sold in pairs. As a season ticket holder, can I buy

I'd still like to snag some other items from the old stadium. I've got a 2 by 3 foot piece of the old astroturf in a frame but it could use some old signage or something to go with it.
